Dylan85 marks the 20th anniversary of an all-star celebration of the songs of Bob Dylan, co-produced by Nightstalgia Presents, a leading force in Colorado’s tribute and cover band scene, and powered by Dewey Paul Band & Friends, many of them legacy players from Denver’s notorious Last Waltz Revisited reenactment shows that have carried on for more than two decades. Launched in Denver in 2006 by music impresario Dewey Paul Moffitt and his musical companions, this non-imitative but deeply flattering tribute has evolved into its own kind of Rolling Thunder-style traveling circus, with past incarnations reaching Ireland, Scotland, London, Berlin, Seattle, and beyond, all born from the spirit of the original Denver production. Dylan85 promises an evening of continuous Dylan songs reimagined in fresh and exciting formats, and revives a beloved outlaw caravan of song and soul, with proceeds once again benefiting a local nonprofit, continuing the long-standing charitable tradition of this annual flagship event after a few years away in exile.
